After moving to London's West End at age 15, he became a part of a cultural revolution, as a Blitz Kid. He became immersed in the underground fashion and music scene. He started a band, and within a year, Culture Club became the biggest band to emerge from the New Romantics, an 80s music scene. A tumultuous love affair with his bandmate Jon Moss inspired massive chart topping hit singles like Do You Really Want To Hurt Me, Time (Clock of the Heart), Karma Chameleon, and I'll Tumble For You. He overcame intense media scrutiny, the end of his relationship, and a drug addiction that almost derailed his career. Four decades later, with a newfound inner strength, the ultimate chameleon is happier than ever, and remains an LGBTQ+ pop iconoclast, advocate and survivor.
