Dzisiaj, 6 marca 05:09. Annual trade fair, exhibition, and festival jazzahead! is one of the international jazz communityâs most important events. Hosted in Bremen, Germany, jazzahead! brings together musicians, bookers, agents, organizers, jazz experts, and music enthusiasts at the worldâs largest jazz event. In 2024, jazzahead! paid special attention to the jazz scene of the Netherlands and invited over forty jazz acts to perform over the course of three days. Among the acts presenting themselves at jazzahead! 2024 is seven-piece ensemble Mama Terra. Co-led by Glaswegian pianist-composer-producer Marco Cafolla and saxophonist Konrad Wiszniewski, the group offers a fresh and energetic interpretation of spiritual jazz. Mama Terraâs debut album âThe Summonedâ, featuring the ethereal vocals of Rachel Lightbody, âbursts with zeal and vigourâ, according to MOJO. The lineup includes Marco Cafolla (piano, vocoder), Konrad Wiszniewski (tenor saxophone), Rachel Lightbody (vocals), Mikey Owers (trombone), Cameron Jay (flugelhorn), Doug Hough (drums), and Brodie Javier (double bass).
